I am a connector, my full name is “0.5 YESC unsealed system connector 4P female housing”, but you can call me Conn. I was created in Zagreb at the Yazaki research and development center. My Team engineered me from scratch and based on the whole product family on me. Yes, you read it right! The whole 0.5 unsealed family! As usual, they have done an awesome job and I’m so happy with my life! I have a lot of brothers and sisters. We all look alike, but indeed, we are very different— especially in size.
The purpose of our existence is to secure terminals for the transfer of electrical signals through wires. We can accomplish our tasks only if we can communicate together to create a strong connection. When a proper connection is made, we are ready to transfer signals through wires.
To communicate with the environment, we use “Click” language, because it is very simple to use. The rule is easy when you hear “Click”, everything is ok. We produce a “Click” when the terminal is properly inserted. An additional “Click” is heard when the secondary lock is closed, and the latest, most important “Click” is when connectors are fully connected. If you can’t be absolutely sure that the connectors are connected, our best friend Connector Position Assurance may help you.
Our obsession is cars. We love them. My family usually hangs around vehicle entertainment systems. You can find us connected to printed circuit boards (PCB) or as inline connectors. If you need a secure connection, you know where to look for it!
